With news from the government this week indicating we can open, we thought it would be good to share some of our safety procedures we have in place.
The world feels a little odd and scary, so we can appreciate it feels even more daunting booking a bridal appointment. We want to assure all our lovely customers we are doing all we can to comply with the safety measured proposed to us to keep everyone safe as possible. We also still want to keep the high level of customer service and our well known reputation of a friendly, relaxed bridal experience.
While it may feel strange at first, to see us with masks on and conducting the appointments slightly differently, we are positive our “new normal” will still give you a time to remember. We are still the same girls that love to chat, giggle and help you find a dress style that makes you feel amazing. We thought by explaining some of our new procedures you will not only know what to expect but know we want to keep everyone as safe as possible.
A few of our key procedures are-
*As always we operate by appointment only, with a locked door policy. If you do not have appointment we are afraid you will be unable to enter. This is to minimise the number of customers in the store at any one time.
*Our cleaning procedures are going to be even more thorough especially in-between appointments. This why it is important to arrive promptly to your appointment, we have carefully planned the slots to make sure there is enough time to clean. This is to clean and sanitise dresses, accessories, chairs, tables along with every point of high contact in the shop (like card machines, door handles, pens etc).
*All customers are asked to not wear gloves but to hand sanitise on entry and throughout the appointment. Hand gel and hand washing facilities are readily available. If gloves are required, we have them for our customers. We ask if you do have a face covering to bring along, although again these are available with us.
*We shall be wearing face masks when we greet you until you are settled in your own private room. We are lucky to be able to comply with social distancing here. Masks will be needed when social distancing is more difficult to achieve, like when we lace up dresses/ measure you. We will discuss our changing room procedures in more detail when you book in.
*We have always love meeting the bride and her bridal party, so its perhaps the hardest part for us, that this will not be possible at the moment. For dress collections, we ask that the bride comes alone. For bridal try on appointments we ask that brides pick one “star guest”. We encourage video calling for anyone you wish to share a dress with.
*Future multiple appointments for different guests are not permitted as this will help minimise the number of customers that enter the store and social distancing.
*We kindly ask customers not to handle goods; we will be on hand to assist you as this will help reduce good handling as per government guidelines. We are on hand throughout your appointment to help and guide you, so please don’t worry.
With most brides dress shopping beginning around 12 months before, we appreciate you may wish to delay your appointment with us if you have the time. We are working through our waiting list in order of wedding dates. Therefore if you are ready to order your dress please message or call us to book in. While our appointments throughout the day are reduced, we have increased our working hours. We are now open all weekend and more evenings in the week, to help accommodate customers with work or childcare commitments.
We are working hard to adjust to this new way of working, as are many small businesses. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and support. Of course our love goes to all our fantastic #TWRbrides that have had weddings postponed during the pandemic. You have never been far away from our thoughts. Remember you will wear your beautiful dress and dance at your wedding. Your journey may have taken a little longer, but it will be all the more special for it! We are privileged to have been part of your wedding dress experience and look forward to seeing those photos.
