A few tips from your bridal team
First time trying on wedding dresses? You don’t need to have it all figured out. Whether your phone is full of dress screenshots or you’re starting with “I haven’t a clue”, we’ll help you settle in. Here are a few little things to make your visit easier, so you can get on with the fun bit.
Bring yourself and a little inspiration
Comfortable underwear is a good place to start. Bring a few dress pictures if you have them, but there’s no homework required. You don’t need to buy special shoes or accessories for your first visit. Already have something you’d love to wear on the day? Bring it along.
Have a think about what you’d like to spend, leaving a little room for alterations and accessories. Tell us your budget and wedding date when you arrive, and we’ll keep those in mind while you explore.
Bring your favourite cheerleaders
Bring the people who make you feel good, listen to you and will enjoy a little dress excitement. We recommend up to three guests so you can get comfortable and hear yourself think.
Everyone will have a favourite, and it might not be the same one. Enjoy their reactions, but give yourself a moment in the mirror too. You’re the one wearing it, so how you feel matters.
Have a try and a little swish
Start with the styles you love, then leave room for a surprise. That dress you nearly walked past might turn out to be your favourite. Have a walk, give the skirt a swish and tell us what you think. You can be honest; you won’t hurt our feelings if a dress isn’t for you.
And there’s no need for a film-worthy reveal. Happy tears, a huge grin or a quiet “yes, this feels right” all count. You can love your dress without crying in it.
Found a favourite
Enjoy the moment. When you’re ready, we’ll talk through the dress price, deposit, payment dates and delivery or collection arrangements. We’ll also explain alterations and help you think about any accessories you’d like to add.
Jemma, Lucy and Nicola are here to answer your questions and make the next steps feel easy. There’s no pressure to decide before you’re ready. We want you to leave feeling excited about your dress and clear about what happens next.
