When should I start looking for my dress?

We believe that it is never too early to start looking as it is a very important decision. Some brides find it best to do some research into the local bridal stores and visit the bridal fairs, while others just go to a store that has been recommended and fall in love with their dream dress on their first trip out! One thing is for sure – if you can’t stop smiling, you found it!

Why is an outlet different?

An OUTLET is different as the dress you try on in store, is the dress you buy. Our OUTLET allows you to take advantage of HUGE savings, with some styles at up to 75% of the original “orderable” price. We have a very large and varied selection of wedding dresses in store for you to choose from in sizes 10 to 30, so buying a dress from us doesn’t mean compromising on your bridal experience, it just means you get an amazing dress at a brilliant price!

What happens when I come in to try on dresses?

We are a happy and friendly store and you will always be greeted with a smile! We will start by having a chat and find out a little about your wedding. Some ladies start picking out styles they like straight away, while others really have no idea where to start so we are always on hand to offer suggestions! We are very lucky to have 3 private rooms, complete with seating areas and changing cubicles so you will have one to yourself. We start trying on the dresses that you have selected and see how we get on! We usually can’t resist going back out to the dress rail to choose a few more for you to try, once we have seen what suits you and what you like.

I am going abroad to get married but I still want a stunning dress, any ideas?

Around a third of all of the weddings we do involve some kind of travel. We have sent brides with gorgeous dresses all over the world from Las Vegas, Florida, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand and even on a frozen lake in Austria so we have plenty of experience in getting you and the dress to your destination! We ensure that the selection of gowns we have include those suitable for weddings abroad, and just because you are heading far away does not mean you have to sacrifice the dress of your dreams. The gowns we have range from the slinky and straight chiffon floaty designs to the larger satin and tulle dresses that with careful packing, will emerge at the other end looking fantastic. We also have a selection of travel boxes that fit perfectly into the overhead cabins so your dress never has to leave your sight!

I am a size 24 and I am having trouble finding dresses to try on, so how am I supposed to know what suits me?

We believe that everyone should have fun and enjoy trying on dresses and finding their perfect gown, whether they are a size 10, 20 or 30. We are proud to say we make sure we always have an amazing selection of dresses in dress size 20 and over, for you to have fun trying on and find your perfect dress!

I am on a diet and trying to lose weight, so should I wait to try on dresses?

It seems that virtually everyone tries to lose weight for their wedding when in fact they are perfect as they are! As all dresses need altering to fit in some way, we would always suggest coming in as soon as you want to, and often to wait can mean your wedding plans are put on hold, as the dress tends to lead other decisions around the wedding theme. As we have an outlet range, these dresses are only available in the sizes shown. Most dresses can be taken in by a few sizes, but can usually only go up 1 dress size. It’s always worth remembering that you will always look better in a gown taken in to fit perfectly, than squeezed into a too small gown let out to its maximum. With our designer range we can order a dress in that is smaller or bigger than the sample, so it gives you a wider choice!

Do you offer a payment plan?

We offer different payment plan options for our outlet dresses:

1) Pay for the dress in full.
2) Pay 50% towards the dress and the remaining 50% within 3 calendar months.

With our Designer range we ask that 50% of the dress balance is clear before we place the order. We can then spread the remaining balance or you can pay when the dress arrives.

Are the fittings and alterations extra?

Yes they are, most dresses do need alterations to make your dress fit your perfectly! We are able to recommend a number of highly talented seamstresses for all your alteration needs. We can talk you through the process and offer our advice. Our seamstresses are based in several locations, making it easier for you to choose the most convenient.

What do I need to wear to the appointment?

Most ladies find wearing a strapless bra to their appointment more suitable, as they tend to fit with dresses better. We politely ask that no heavy make-up or fake tan is worn, as it helps us protect the dresses.
